Thank you for shopping at Smith & George. We hope you enjoy your purchase, however, If you are not entirely satisfied, we're here to help.
General
Please also refer to our FAQ – Returns Section and read our Returns Policy in its entirety in order to understand how we can make returns hassle free.
Should you have a change of heart or have made the wrong purchase and want to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We typically deliver items quickly and it may not be possible to stop orders, but if you manage to do so, it will save time and your refund will reach you quicker.
Should you receive an item that is damaged, not what you ordered, or one that you wish to return for any other reason, 14 days are given to use our contact form to request a return (as explained below). Once we receive such a request, we'll email you within 3 days with further details. A further 7 days is then given to return any unsuitable items.
Please ensure you have a receipt of posting up to the first 24 days of receiving your order, if you are initiating a return.
Initiating a Return
Please fill out our contact form, and in the message box include both of the requirements 1 and 2 below :
1. Begin your message with one of the return action requests
2. Follow up with the Invoice/Receipt Number of your purchase and the Product Code of product to be returned as stated on your invoice/receipt. Should you wish to provide any further information, please feel free to do so.
3. Wait for a confirmation email with some final details before your postage.
4. Pack the item(s) you wish to return in their original condition, with the original packaging provided and enclose a copy of your order. Items may only be returned in their original form. Please use the packaging inserts supplied to ensure products do not return to us tangled or damaged.
Processing a Refund
Upon receipt of a return, the method of payment originally used for the purchase will be followed in reverse and credited with the cost of the goods minus the initial delivery charges (exceptions may apply). We will process your return within 5 days.
NB. - If a debit/credit card has been used as a method of payment, it might take a further 3-5 working days to credit an account. If we resieved payment via a Bank Transfer, the refund sould reach your account with no further delais.
Please read and consider the following:

Engraved pieces are non-returnable/non-refundable.

Due to hygiene standards we do not accept returns/offer refunds on earrings, nose studs or foot rings.

We cannot accept responsibility for items that reach us defective or damaged, resulting from improper handling, lack of care, misuse, accidents or normal wear and tear.

Please note any items returned damaged or tangled will not be refunded.

We strongly advise you obtain a proof of postage receipt as we cannot be held responsible for any returned items until they reach us. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.

Returning non-faulty sale items or items purchased under a discount code offer, are not entitled to a refund. However, we may be able to exchange for another product or give you credit for a future purchase.

If an item that has been purchased with free shipping and is returned, the shipping charge will be deducted from the refund value.

International custom duties and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside the EU.

As noted further above, a total of 24 days are given by Smith & George, including the maximum time given for our confirmation on your request, to accept returns. Thereafter, a 25% handling charge, may incur, and in some cases we reserve the right not to accept returns after the statutory returns period.
